“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”

– Benjamin Franklin, 1789

ABOUT NHDD: National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) takes place each April 16th (the day after tax day) to inspire, educate and empower people about the importance of advance care planning, or the process of determining who would speak for you if you were unable to speak for yourself and the medical care you would want or not want depending on your personal situation. NHDD is a worldwide initiative to encourage people to express their wishes regarding their health care and for health care providers and facilities to respect those wishes, whatever they may be. NHDD was founded in 2008 to provide clear, concise, and consistent information on healthcare decision-making to both the public and providers/ facilities through the widespread availability and dissemination of simple education and tools.

NHDD efforts for 2020 focused on virtual education opportunities.
The following presentation was recorded in June 2020.
